My name is Kathy

and I’m the owner of Kathy’s Kreations.

One thing you need to know about me is that I’m CRAZY about sewing! I’ve been sewing since I was a little girl. I started out making Barbie clothes from my mom’s fabric scraps. Eventually she started to teach me “real” sewing when I was 9. She was teaching my sister how to sew and as any normal little sister, I had to do what my big sis was doing!

I still remember the purple gym shorts that were my first project. I learned a lot of skills from my mom and my aunt and I began making my own homecoming and prom gowns. Of course when I got engaged I had to make my own wedding gown. That was a tremendous journey of learning and driving to fabric stores in Cleveland, Erie, and Buffalo; way before online shopping days.

Fast forward to 6 kids later! I gave up working outside the home when my 5th child was born. It was just too difficult with a large family. Instead, I began sewing for friends and family. I had already been making things for my kids and friends began asking me to alter clothes for them. Pretty soon it started to spread to friends of friends and coworkers of family. Before I knew it, my dining room was too small.

So in 2013, I took the plunge and rented a storefront on Main Street in Greenville, Pennsylvania. In the last 7 years, my business has grown so much that I relocated to a bigger location. I still am just as crazy about sewing as I was when I was little!
